How To Prepare For HBSAT 2019?

The HBSAT 2019 examination is quite easy as compared to CAT/ XAT/ MAT. The total number of questions in the exam is 100 and each section has 20 questions. Before we go to the preparation part, let’s have a look at the exam pattern od the exam.

Data Sufficiency

The data sufficiency section comprises of the questions and two statements in which data is given. You have to decide whether the data that is given in either of the statements are sufficient to answer the questions. The questions that can be asked in the exam are quantity, figures etc. To prepare for this section, the students must practice as many questions as they can. Following are some of the questions which the students can solve to get an idea of what kind of questions to expect in the exam.

Mathematical Ability 

For this section, the students must have speed and accuracy if they want to nail section. This is usually considered to be one of the toughest sections in the exam. To prepare for this section, students can learn the tables up to 35, squares and cubes up to 20. By learning these, the candidates will be able to make fast calculations. This will increase their speed for the examination. The students can also learn some shortcuts notes to solve the questions in less time. The students can also download the shortcuts from the internet. The students must practice many mock tests which will build the student’s accuracy and speed.

Communication and Business Aptitude

For the English section, the students must read a newspaper daily. This will help them build their vocabulary and idioms etc. The students can note down these and review them every day for memorisation. They can also read the articles and then write its summaries in their own words. The students can read the newspapers like The Hindu, Indian Express and Mint. Brush up your grammar skills as many of the questions are asked such as figure of speech, sentence correction, active & passive voice, etc.
