IIFM Bhopal PGDM Admission 2019 – The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is a Public Institute of Education and Research which was founded in 1982. The Institute offers admission in a fully residential two-year PGDFM programme and this program is approved by the AICTE. The shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in CAT or XAT. The shortlisted candidates are then called for Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Personal Interview (PI). The Institute also provides the scholarship to SC and ST category candidates. The scholarship is also given to those who perform well in each term in the programme. As per the official website, about 1040 number of applications were received for the 2016-18 batch and 752 applications were received for 2017-19 batch.

IIFM Bhopal Admission 2019: Courses Offered

The Institute offers admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM). It is a full time two-year residential programme. The PGDFM is equivalent to the Master’s Degree in Forest Management. The course consist of 6 terms, one Summer Internship and 2 Field trips.

There are 7 courses in each term. The 04th term is common to all the students. Whereas, in the 5th and 6th term students have to choose either of the following specializations. The three major specialized modules offered are

  • Conservation and Livelihood Management (C&L)
  • Environmental Management (EM)
  • Developmental Management (DM)

The PGDFM was started in 1988 and the first batch of PFM students graduated in 1990. It is the flagship course of IIFM and is one of its kind in Asia.

IIFM Bhopal Fees Structure 2019

The fee structure for the academic session 2019 is not yet available. However, it is expected that the total fee for the PGDFM program shall be the same as last year. The total fee for the entire program shall be Rs. 4,80,000 for General/ NC-OBC/ DA and Rs. 2,88,000 for SC/ST candidates. IIFM PGDFM Eligibility Criteria 2019

The candidates who wish to apply for admission at IIFM must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as given below:

  1. A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized university.
  2. Should have secured minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and Differently Abled (DA).
  3. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

IIFM PGDFM Selection Criteria 2019

The shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of information provided in the application form and marks obtained in the CAT 2018/ XAT 2019 conducted by IIMs/ XLRI. The candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT/XAT score will be called for Written Aptitude Test (WAT) / Interview (PI). The WAT-PI shall be held at Bhopal, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata based on the choice of candidates.

IIFM PGDFM Application Form 2019

The application form for IIFM Bhopal admission 2019 will be available online at its official website. The candidates can download the application form,  and take its print out. Fil in necessary details in the downloaded application form and submit it along with the requisite fee. You can also obtain the application form personally or by post by sending the demand draft. The application fee can also be paid by online mode using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net banking.

IIFM PGDFM Placement

Though most of the job placements at IIFM are with the environment and development sector with the NGOs, however, recently a number of banks and microfinance institutions have participated in the campus placements. Apart from it various Corporates also participated in IIFM Placements.

For the academic year 2017-18, the students were offered job in various profiles such as Sales & Marketing, Market research, Banking & Finance, Environment, Health and Safety, Environment Management System, Consulting roles, Operations etc with an average package of 6.93 lacs per annum.

IIFM Bhopal Campus

IIFM campus is spread over 230 acres located on a lush green hill-top surrounded by water-bodies on three sides. The campus building includes the Academic Complex, Library, Computer Centre, Hostel, Mess, and the Administration and Accounts wings. The award-winning the architectural design of IIFM’s building provides an environment conducive to academic activities, professional deliberations, and social
interaction. The architect of the institute’s buildings is Anant Raje (1929-2009) who is one of the most talked about personalities in the field of Indian Architecture.
