As per the newspaper reports, last year, 45037 students have qualified the exam. The overall pass percentage was 92.60 which is 6% more than AP ICET last two year back.

AP ICET 2019 Result

The result for AP ICET  announces online at its official website. The candidates can access the result by entering the Registration Number and Hall Ticket Number. The shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of their merit in the entrance examination. A week after the declaration of AP ICET Result, the candidates can download their rank card. The qualifiers of AP ICET Exam2019 are eligible to appear for the counseling.

AP ICET 2019 Cut Off

The cut off for AP ICET has been the same over the years. Most probably, it shall remain the same for AP ICET 2019 as well. The candidates have to obtain minimum secure 25% qualifying marks in AP ICET in order to qualify it. However, there is no cut off for SC and ST category candidates.

So, the AP ICET Exam 2019 cut off marks are 50 out of 200. Anyone, except for SC and ST category candidates, scoring below this is not considered to be placed in the merit list.

AP ICET 2019 Merit List

Only the name of those candidates is included in the merit list who obtain the cut off marks in AP ICET Exam 2019. Since there is no cut off mark for SC and ST category, hence, they are assigned rank in the order of the merit on the basis of marks obtained. The merit list is displayed on the official website of AP ICET. The merit rank in AP ICET Exam 2019 is valid for admission in the academic year 2019-20 in the colleges located in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

AP ICET 2019 Normalization Process

The exam conducting body follows the process of normalization to scales the scores according to the difficulty across two slots. Such practices are adopted to fairly evaluate the performance of a candidate. The marks in this round can either scaled up or down as compared to performance in another session.

For example, if in the first session, the average score of all the students is 55 and in the second slot, the average score is 65. Then, it can be interpreted that the second slot paper is comparatively easier than first. AP ICET 2019 Counseling

The exam conducting body starts the counseling round for MBA and MCA after the conduction of the exam. The notification for AP ICET Exam 2019 Counselling round releases at apicet.nic.in. The site opens specifically for the counseling round only. Once the window open, candidates can participate in web-based counseling. According to the rank of the students, the college-allotment takes place. For the final admission, a candidate must appear for the document verification round.

AP ICET 2019 Answer Key

Once the exam is over, the exam conducting body releases the AP ICET preliminary Answer Key 2019. The candidates can download the answer key online. Along with the answer key, the candidates also get the question paper and Response sheet. With the help of the AP ICET Answer Key, candidates can cross-check the answers to calculate their probable score. On the basis of the score obtained, they can estimate their chances of qualifying the entrance examination.

AP ICET 2019 Preparation

After checking the AP ICET syllabus and exam pattern candidates must now prepare accordingly. Best way to prepare is to learn topic by topic and once it is done move forward to practice previous year question papers.

  • For the data sufficiency section, revise the basic mathematics concepts. Most importantly, read the statements in such questions carefully before reaching to a conclusion.
  • Next, practice questions like series, missing numbers etc. Such questions can be easily solved in the exam if you get to know the trick behind them. For example, if it is a series of odd numbers, prime or mixture etc.
  • Data Analysis is not much calculation intensive. Just practice some questions of graphs, table etc.
  • For mathematical ability, make sure that you have learned the concepts. If they are clear then you can easily solve questions in the exam.
  • Most importantly, revise the formulas in every few days to keep them fresh in the mind.
  • For English, keep reading vocabulary. For new words, read newspapers, magazine etc.

AP ICET 2019 Application Form

The application process for AP ICET 2019 takes place completely in online mode. The candidates can apply for AP ICET at its official website. First, you have to make payment for the application fee and only then you can proceed to fill in details. It is important that you provide correct details in the form. In the application form, enter Personal Information, Educational Qualification details, etc. Also, upload a scanned image of your photograph and signature.

Application Fees

This year AP ICET Exam 2019 application fee is Rs 550/- per candidate. Students must submit the application fee before the last date to avoid paying an extra fee. For the late registration, students have to pay the additional amount of Rs 2000/. It was expected that exam conducting body would increase the examination fee this year but it remained the same as per last year.

AP ICET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who wish to apply for the entrance examination firstly should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility conditions required for appearing for AP ICET 2019 is as follows.


  • Only Indian Nationals can apply for AP ICET 2019.
  • Also, aspirants should satisfy the local/non-local status requirements. As laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission).

Educational Qualification

Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. In case of distance mode, you must have a degree recognized by UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB. Also, candidates who have passed all the subjects of 3 years in one sitting are not eligible for admission.

  • MBA: Minimum 3-year graduation + Mathematics in 10th class.
  • MCA: Minimum 3-year graduation + Mathematics in intermediate or degree level.
  • MCA Lateral Entry (2nd Year): BCA or Graduation IT/ CS + Mathematics at the intermediate level.

Qualifying Marks

  • Minimum 50% in graduation degree for unreserved category.
  • Minimum 45% in graduation degree for reserved category.

    • Yes, If you are able to clear the backlog until the admission process, then you can apply for MBA.
      However, eligibility differs from college to college. So, you must check the same before applying to any particular college.

  2. Hi mam . I had completed my sslc in karnataka.inter and degree in Vijayawada . Do I eligible for enterance exam.

    • Only when the parents’ income is up to Rs 1 lakh or up to Rs. 2.0 Lakhs. In that case, you need to submit the income certificate issued by MRO
      through MeeSeva.

    Someone is saying that a sign from Gazette officer or college principal(with Green ink) is required on Hall ticket….if not they won’t allow you to participate in exam….
    Is it true ma’am?
    Actually I’m 2018 passed out and wasted 1 year and now I’m going to attend the exam….
    Please tell me….

    • Let the admit card release once. If it is written over it that you need a sign of Gazette officer or college principal then please do the same. Even if you are pass out, you can go to your college and request for the same.
