CAT 2018 Exam Date has been announced officially. It will take place on November 25, 2018. Like the previous year, IIMs hold the CAT 2018 exam on the last Sunday of November. CAT 2018 Exam Date
Two important points for CAT exam has been announced. First the exam date and second the name of the exam conducting body. The reason that candidates speculate on which institute will be the conducting body of CAT, is to predict whether there would be any changes in the exam or not. However, which IIM is conducting the exam does not really make much of a difference to the exam difficulty level.

Important dates of CAT 2018
Common Admission Test is a one-day exam. Pre-exam events start with the issuance of notification in July/August 2018. Then registration for CAT 2018 will begin. Registration is the first thing that a candidate has to do if he/she wants to appear in the exam.
Then those who will register can download admit card from the official website. Admit card download is the last pre-exam event. The exam will be as per CAT 2018 exam date.
Post-exam, CAT answer key will be released. Until two years ago, IIMs did not release answer keys. But last year they did. Therefore once again it is likely that they will publish answer keys after the exam. Then after key, the result of CAT 2018 will be announced.

Who is eligible for CAT?
CAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria is as mentioned below:
- The candidate must have completed his/her graduation (bachelor’s degree) or passed an equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized college or university with 50% marks( 45% for SC/ST/PWD). The students in their final year are also eligible to apply for the exam.
- There is no age limit to take CAT 2018.

The CAT exam is a computer-based examination, in which the questions asked will be of multiple choice questions. The exam will be of 3 hours. There will be three sections in the exam, Correct marks will fetch 3 marks, while the negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer is there.
