Salient Features of CAT 2018

#1: The registration process shall start from August 08, 2018 and it is to be done in online mode only.

#2: CAT 2018 will be held in two sessions in one day.

#3: CAT 2018 will consist of MCQs and Non-MCQs questions. The percentage of MCQs in the examination will be 70% and of Non-MCQs it will be 30%.

#4: The examination will be a Computer-based test of 3 long hours.

#5: There will be three sections which are:

  • 1st Section: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
  • 2nd Sectio: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
  • 3rd Section: Quantitative Ability

Are You Eligible To apply For CAT 2018?

Now that the notification is of CAT 2018 is out, know whether or not you are eligible to apply for the exam. Here are the CAT 2018 eligibility criteria:

Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in CAT 2018.

Education Qualification: You should have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or should possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Qualifying Marks: You should have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/ PWD candidates) in degree examination.

Those who are appearing the final year of the degree examination are also eligible to apply for CAT 2018.

    • As per the basic eligibility criteria of CAT 2018, the management aspirants must have a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate. The final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for the exam. There is a relaxation of 5 percent in graduation marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
