Five Effective Tips For CAT 2019 Study Plan
1. SWOT Analysis
Analyze your strengths and weakness. If you are scoring less in language part, then devote extra 1 hour to this section. Importantly, do not push aside your strong areas in sake to improve in other areas. Maintain a fine balance between the two. Only when the exam approaching near, you can revise topics in which you are confident. Thus, keep weak topics in the second fiddle for a while.
2. Learn Concepts
First, note down the topics of the syllabus, then start learning or practicing the topics. Initially, prepare all the topics if you have enough time. Marking difficult and tricky questions also helps later. Also, keep the record of questions you do wrong and afterward discuss it with mentors/friends for the correct approach.
3. Mock Tests are Must
After solving questions of one topic, take sectional and full-length mocks. Do not think that “first I will complete the syllabus then only move forward for mocks“. It is a wrong strategy, in CAT, you can expect a lot of unexpected questions. So, from the first day of preparation start taking the mocks.
4. Revision of Mocks
Just taking mocks do not complete the preparation. So, every time you take a test, revise it to solve the unattempted and incorrect questions. Learn new strategies to solve a question. You can maintain a notebook having important tricks and formulas. Use it from time to time to keep them fresh in mind.
5. Plan a Time Table
Prepare a time table as per the time left for the exam. Divide it into two parts ie learning concept and taking mocks. It will help to manage your studies well. Also, you can easily score well in CAT with a proper study schedule.
