CMAT 2018 Result

The CMAT 2018 results will be crucial in deciding the admission of the candidates in various Participating Institutes of CMAT 2018. As per the result, the candidates will now get calls for GD and PI round. The final admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of performance in CMAT and GD/PI round. The crucial dates are as follows:

How to check CMAT 2018 Result?

To check your CMAT 2018 Result you can follow the following steps:

  1. Access the ‘Click Here’ link above to access your result or visit the official website
  2. If you have clicked on the link above, a window will open, enter your Application ID and Date of Birth.
  3. Your scorecard will appear on the screen.
  4. Check the details and save your scorecard on your system.
  5. Take a proper printout of the Scorecard as it will be needed in the further admission process.

CMAT 2018 Result: Scorecard and Merit List

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the CMAT 2018 Results. The Result can be viewed in the form of the Scorecard and the Merit List. Both of which will be available on the official website

CMAT 2018 Scorecard:

Your scorecard will have the detailed data of your marks and percentile that you have secured in CMAT 2018 Examination and based on your scorecard you will be given admission to various MBA colleges. The details you will find on the CMAT Result are:

  • Candidate’s Details.
  • Score of each section
  • Percentile of each section
  • Total Score
  • Total Percentile

How is the CMAT 2018 score calculated?

The Scores obtained in CMAT 2018 have been calculated by assigning the following marks in the examination:

  • +4 marks for the correct answer
  • -1 mark for incorrect answer
  • 0 mark for no answer

How is the CMAT 2018 percentile calculated?

The percentile is calculated using the following formula:

  • Percentile (P) = {(N – Rank of the candidate)/ N}x 100

Here, P is percentile and N is the total number of candidates appeared for CMAT 2018 Examination.

CMAT 2018 Merit List:

After the scorecard is released, all Indian Merit list will also be released on February 17, 2018. this is going to facilitate the candidates to view their position among all the candidates on the list. The CMAT 2018 Merit List will show the following details of all the candidates:

  • Roll Number
  • Candidate Name
  • Score and Percentile of each section.
  • Total score and Percentile.

How is the Merit list Prepared?

The National Merit List has been prepared on the basis of your total score in CMAT 2018 and not your Percentile. In case scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking has been done on sectional score considered in the order of:

  1. Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Language Comprehension
  4. General Awareness.

In the situations where more than one candidate has secured the same rank as per the above criteria then the following points are considered:

  • The same Rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically.
  • The Rank of the subsequent candidate is then extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank. For example, if three students are at 20th Rank then the subsequent student is ranked as 23rd.

Post CMAT 2018 Result announcement

Now since the result have been announced, the candidates will get a call from the participating institutes. The further rounds of admission will include Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and / or written test. The process to select the candidates will vary from college to college. The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of percentile score and cutoff marks selected by the institute.

The institutes will basically release a list of shortlisted candidates on the basis of the applications received. Few institutes might also conduct multiple rounds and will release multiple lists of shortlisted candidates in each round. Candidates will have to keep track of the official website of each college.
