Chavi Gupta from Delhi was one of the Top 20 100-Percentilers. When asked about her exam strategy she said that she relied a lot on the mock tests. While giving the exam, she first did what she knew the best and then conquered the rest of the question paper. She advises the CAT 2018 aspirants to try and avoid the distractions and make sure that they fist master the basic knowledge and then move forward and prepare the mock tests. She says that every student has unique capabilities and thus a critical self-analysis is necessary. She also advised the students to not spent more than 5-7 minutes on one question

The topper says that he started preparing for the exam in 2016 when he realized that taking mock tests is the key. But he adds that the students must keep an eye on the repeated questions and make sure that you highlight them to study during the last few days of preparation

Pramod Says that he used to read a lot of Newspapers and Play sudoku while preparing for the CLAT 2017 exam. He aspires to start his own business someday. While preparing he suggests the students to regularly do the mock tests and also suggests the students to solve puzzles and quizzes for the Logical Reasoning part of the CAT exam.

Suggestion for CAT 2018 aspirants: Read a lot of Newspapers, Play Puzzles for Logical Reasoning section, Watch and read News for GK. He also suggests if you get bored of continuously studying, watch movies, hang around with friends and lighten up.

Mayank Raj said that on the exam date for the verbal ability section he focussed more on the comprehension part. He gave 10 minutes to every section and spared the last 10-15 minutes in doing the non-comprehension part. For the other sections, he says that he did not plan any strategy he suggests the students to not let the ego come in between and move ahead if you become clueless. He suggests the students develop own understanding for the CAT exam.

Suggestion for CAT 2018 Aspirants – He doesn’t suggest joining any coaching classes. For the Mathematics section, he says that studying up to the 10thstandard is just fine and at the end of the day it is not on the coaching hut your decisions during the preparation day that are going to fetch you great marks.

Madhur is a B.Tech from the DTU Delhi. When asked about his preparation he said that he planned the studies much earlier. Madhur Father is a CA. He has also worked as an operation manager at Amazon and now has a startup called 3Dexter.

Suggestion to CAT 2018 aspirants – He says that he gave half an hour to an hour every day for his preparations and says that he has given about 50+ mock tests. He suggests the students to actually avoid the question that they do not find a solution for. Also, he says that it was his personal experience during the reparations. He used to overthink and fumble between the available options. He also suggests the students relax during the exam preparation and watch movies and whatever they like to stay refreshed

Chinmay Nerkar- CAT 100 Percentile

Chinmay Nerkar is from Ranchi, Jharkhand and is one of the top 20 100 percentiles of the CAT 2017 exam. He suggests the students take mock tests during the preparation. Chinmay who wan in his final Year student of Mechanical engineering at the time of CAT 2017 exam, suggests the students take at least 20 mocks.

Suggestion for CAT 2018 aspirants – He suggests the students to understand that CAT is an important exam and the students must take it seriously. They must gather the right study material and make sure that they keep on practicing. He also suggests the students develop an attitude that they are going to win no matter what.

Rajesh Balasubramanian- CAT 100 Percentile

An IIT Madras graduate, an IIM Bangalore graduate. You must be thinking why he appeared for CAT. Well, you know what, he keeps on appearing for CAT since many years as he trains CAT aspirants. He suggests the students keep their eyes open and get the correspondence study material.

Suggestion for the CAT 2018 aspirants – Rajesh also suggests the students study smart and not just study hard. He says that if you sincerely aim to crack mock and have all the right resources available to you, you can fetch great marks. He also suggests the students stay updated with the exam pattern.

Patrick D’Souza – CAT 100 Percentile

Patrick lives in Thane and has completed his MBA from Mumbai’s Jamnalal Bajaj institute if Management studies. Just like Rajesh Balasubramanian, he is also devoted for providing the CAT aspirants the right training and attitude.

Suggestion for CAT 2018 aspirants – He says that for the English section the students to practice reading.  Whereas, for the logical reasoning section he says that the students must practice puzzles and quizzes as it helps with creativity. When asked what it is that the students d wrong in the CAT exam, he said that the students think that they should attempt the difficult questions firsts since they take more time which is wrong and suggests, to begin with, the simpler ones which will improve your chance and also the score. Also, he says that mugging up the grammar and vocabulary will not work and don’t mug up the words or the formulas you don’t know how to apply.

Suggestion for the CAT 2018 aspirants – Vishal suggests the candidates to just get inspired by others. For themselves, the students must make sure that they should develop the exam strategy on their own and find what suits them and what not. Although, he suggests that it is beneficial to talk to the seniors and check out the important and most probable questions for the CAT 2018 exam.

Avidipto Chakraborty – CAT 100 Percentile

Avidipto who was working as a consultant has a Dual degree in CS and Economics from the Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani. Avidipto was also the Chief Coordinator at Department of Sponsorship and Marketing. Avidipto belongs to Kolkata and had previously also cleared the CAT exam with the same percentile.

Suggestion for CAT 2018 aspirants – For the CAT 2018 aspirants, Avidipto suggest the students incorporate as many mock tests as they can in their preparation.  Also, he says that the students must not stress and manage to take out time for leisure. He suggests talking to your friends or anyone who has given CAT exam earlier and ask them for what books they referred to and what was their strategy. However, Avidipto believes that the students must make their own strategy as everyone has a different lifestyle and they must formulate their strategy accordingly

Shivam Gupta- CAT 100 Percentile

Shivam belongs to Zirakpur, Chandigarh and is an IIT Kanpur Graduate. Shivan said that during his preparation days he used to study smart and talk to the seniors before studying. He said that he checked the complete syllabus for CAT exam and then moved ahead with the preparations. He strongly believes that its the practice that makes a man perfect. However, he also has a few suggestions for the candidates looking forward to appearing for the CAT 2018 exam.

Suggestion for CAT 2018 exam – Shivam suggests that for the General Knowledge section the students must study Newspapers. He says that studying the newspapers help in two way. They help the students have a day to day knowledge of the current events and also the candidates become very efficient for the reading and comprehension section. He suggests to gather the important books for the CAT 2018 exam and on the other hand practice the Mock tests. He says that during the last month the students must only prepare the recurring questions
