IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria 2019 – For the admission in the year 2019-21, IIM Lucknow has released the selection process for PGP, PGP-ABM, & PGP-SM. In order to take final admission in the institute, candidates have to clear various stages of IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria 2019. The basic eligibility for the consideration of the candidature is the score of CAT 2018 and a minimum three-year graduation degree. IIM Lucknow prepares a list of students on the basis various parameters to invite candidates for Personal Interview and Written Ability Round. IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria 2019

The IIM Lucknow Selection Process 2019 is divided into 2 stages. The admission criteria for IIM Lucknow is as follows.

Stage 1: Selection for PI & WAT

The final list of the candidates qualified for this round is on the basis of 6 parameters. The minimum qualifying percentile for IIM Lucknow is represented in the table below.

IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria/ Selection Process

A. CAT 2018 Scores

Candidates who will clear the minimum eligibility criteria will be considered for the calculation of composite scores.

  • Weighage – The CAT examing has the weighage of 60%. So, performance in the CAT examination matters a lot.
  • Method of Scoring  – Out of 60, the CAT score is converted using the following method.

Score = (Candidates’ CAT score/ Highest CAT Score in 2018) * 60

B. Class 12th

In this round, the performance of class 12th will be considered. Class 10th scores will not play a role.

  • Weighage – This parameter has a weightage of 10% in overall composite scores.
  • Method of Scoring – The marks are divided according to the score range mentioned in the table below.

C. Graduation Marks

After the academic performance in higher secondary, the composite scores for graduation will calculate as follows.

  • Weighage – This parameter also has a weightage of 10% in overall composite scores.
  • Method of Scoring – The marks are allocated on the basis of the following formula.

D. Work Experience

IIM Lucknow gives preference to candidates having work preference by allocating 10% of composite score to this parameter.

  • Weighage – Work Experience has a weight of 10% in overall composite scores.
  • Method of Scoring – The marks are given according to experience given below.

PGP More than 6 months WE = min{(x – 6)×0.50, 10}
PGP-SM More than 24 months WE = min{(x – 24)×0.50,10}

E. Academic Diversity Factor

IIM Lucknow also gives weighage according to the diversity factor in academics.

  • For PGP/PGPSM & AD programme, candidates who have an academic background among column 1 will get a maximum score of 5.
  • Whereas for PGP-ABM & AD, if the background is from column 2 then candidates will get maximum marks of 20.

The classification of the courses is as follows.

Female candidates will get 5 points in the calculation of composite scores.

Scheduling for WAT-PI

After the final calculation of composite scores, top qualifiers will get a call to attend the WAT & PI round. In order to attend these rounds, candidates have to online submit the personal data form.

Stage 2: Final Selection

The final section is based on the composite scores and performance in WAT & PI. In the interview, it is compulsory to get a minimum of 12 marks out of 40.
