Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) conducts an entrance exam, IRMA Social Awareness Test (IRMASAT). The entrance exam is conducted for admission in PGDRM course. The candidates aspiring to apply for IRMA 2019 must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria. The candidates must have appeared in CAT/ XAT entrance test in order to apply for IRMA 2019. IRMA 2019

IRMASAT is a national level entrance examination. There is no management quota for admission to PGDRM at IRMA, and admission is strictly on the basis of candidate’s performance in each of the selection criteria.

IRMASAT 2019 Exam Pattern

It is a computer-based test which consists of MCQ questions. The duration of the exam is 80 minutes. In this time duration, the candidates need to solve 40 questions, some of them will be paragraph based questions while other will be on the basis of the general social awareness.

How To Prepare for IRMASAT 2019

  1. To prepare better for the exam, read all editions of Yojana & Kurukshetra Magazines. Reading daily newspaper especially Economy and social polity. Also, if you get a chance, do read Pratiyogita Darpan.
  2. Keep yourself acquainted with the present social issues.
  3. Do brush up your information related to present government schemes concerning agriculture, health, credit, microfinance, education, etc.
  4. Go through sustainable development goals and the recent news that has created a lot of buzz in the past one year.
  5. Take online mock test regularly. With the help of the mock test, you can analyse your performance.
  6. Solve previous question paper/ sample paper as much as possible.

IRMASAT 2017 Exam Analysis

Difficulty Level of the exam: The exam for IRMASAT 2017 was held on Feb 12 across India. As per many test takers, the overall difficulty level of the test was medium to difficult. Most of the questions were on the basis of the recent events which tested the students on the various ‘Yojanas’ (schemes) instituted by the Government of India.

Topics Mostly Asked: Many candidates said that mostly questions were based on the facts and information related to government schemes and institutions like NABARD, UPNRM, PMFBY for Kharif crops, NDDB, 5-year plan, Mission Indraprasth, ASHA initiative, Innovation Index of India, Unemployment levels in India, etc. Also, direct questions like the year of establishment of a particular Govt body (agency), the place where a particular Govt agency is located, a particular scheme launched by the Government of India to promote entrepreneurship among SC/ST and women, etc were asked in the question paper.

Distribution of Question: As far as the distribution of question is concerned, out of 40 questions, 12 were stand-alone questions while 28 were passage-based. Most of the stand-alone questions focussed on testing the students on various schemes and policies initiated by the Government of India in recent years. Whereas the passage-based questions had questions directly from the passage as well as the ones which tested the awareness level of the students related to the schemes given in the passages. The division of the passage- based questions was as follows: two passages having two questions each, five passages having three questions each, one passage having four questions, and one passage had five questions.

IRMA 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants who wish to appear for IRMASAT 2019 must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility conditions. The eligibility criteria for admission to PGDRM at IRMA is as follows:

  • Both Indian and Foreign Nationals can apply for IRMA 2019 Admission.
  • The aspirant should possess a Graduation degree in any discipline.
  • Should have secured 50% or above (45% percent or above for SC/ST/DAP) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level
  • Those who are in the final year of their graduation shall also apply if they expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before June 04, 2019.
  • There is no age limit for the admission in PGDRM of IRMA.

IRMASAT 2019 Mock Test

IRMA 2019 Application Form

The application form for IRMA 2019 will be available in Online and Offline Mode. The aspirants can obtain either of the application form by following ways:

  • The Online application process will be available at the official website, irma.ac.in
  • Offline Application Form can collect the application form from the IRMA Admissions office or you may write at the IRMA Admission Office address and send it along with the DD.

In the application form, the aspirants need to enter their Personal Details, Educational Qualification Details, Work Experience Details, etc. Also, the aspirants may have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and Signature.

Application Fees

It is expected that the aspirants shall have to pay the same amount of the application fee as last year. The application fee is given below:

Mode of Payment: The applicants can pay the application fee by either online mode if they opt for the Online mode of Application or by Demand Draft or Challan if opts for the Offline mode of application.

IRMA 2019 Admit Card

The admit card for IRMASAT 2018 shall be available for download by the last week of January 2019. The candidates will not get their admit card by post. They must be downloaded online at irma.ac.in. To download the IRMA 2019 Admit Card, the applicants need to download it by using her/his form number or roll number. Download and take a print out of the IRMA Admit Card to bring it on the day of the examination.

IRMA 2019 Selection Process

The Selection Procedure of Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management is as follows:

IRMA will use CAT 2018/XAT2019 and IRMASAT 2019 scores for admission to PGDRM. The applicants must have appeared for either CAT 2018 or XAT 2019. Also, the aspirants need to additionally appear for “IRMASAT” – The IRMA Social Awareness Test. The final selection of the candidates for PGDRM is on the basis of the above given Admissions Test, Group Activity, and Personal Interview.

The selection process for PGDRM was changed for the academic session 2018-20. The new selection criteria and their weights are as follows:

Selection Criteria for Foreign Nationals

Such candidate may apply through GMAT/ GRE Scores / CAT 2018 / XAT 2019 scores. The final selection of such candidates is done on the basis of above-given test score and Online Personal Interview.

IRMA 2019 Cut Off

The cut off required to qualify the entrance test, IRMASAT 2019 will be published online with the declaration of Final Result. The candidates need to obtain minimum cut off marks in order to proceed for further admission process. As soon as the cut off for IRMA 2019 for PGDRM is announced, the same will be updated on this page.

IRMA 2019 Result

The final result for IRMA 2019 will be available for check online. The candidates can check their result by entering their Form Number and Date of Birth. Only those who will obtain marks equal to or greater than the cut off marks will be declared as qualified.
