Karnataka KMAT 2019 (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test) is an all India level Management Entrance Test. It is conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate College Association (KPPGCA) for admission of candidates in MBA and PGDM  programs. The KMAT 2019 admission is granted to more than 169 colleges of Karnataka and Bangalore. Karnataka KMAT 2019 Exam Date

The Karnataka KMAT 2019 exam date is expected to be in the last week of July 2019. If you are wondering as to how we have determined the dates of the paper, I would like to tell that it is completed on the basis of analysis done. While looking at the previous Karnataka KMAT exam dates, the paper of 2014 was conducted on July 24; in 2015 the exam was scheduled to be held on July 26 but was later postponed and was conducted on August 02, 2015. In 2016, the Karnataka KMAt exam date was May 29 and in 2017, the exam dates on which paper was held were July 30. Seeing the current trend and the observing that the exams are generally conducted on the last Sunday of the month, it is expected that  KPPGCA is going to decide Karnataka KMAT 2019 exam date as July 28, 2019.

KMAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

For MBA / PGDM Course –

  • The candidates should have secured a bachelor’s degree (minimum of 3 years duration). Or
  • The candidate should possess a Master’s degree in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent.
  • In both the degree courses, the candidates should have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate).
  • Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible.

KMAT 2019 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for KMAT 2019 is as follows:

  • Total sections: 4
  • Total number of questions: 120
  • Maximum marks: 120
  • Time Duration for KMAT 2019 exam: 120 minutes or 2 hours

The KMAT Examination is a pen-paper based test consists of total 120 questions. The Question Paper is divided into the three sections namely:

  • Verbal Ability and reading comprehension
  • Logical and Abstract Reasoning
  • Quantitative Ability

Each section in the question paper consists of 40 questions which are of objective type (MCQs).The difficulty level of the examination is always usually easy-moderate. As it is a pen and paper-based test thus there is no restriction to move to and fro among the sections. The marking scheme of this examination is that 1 mark is provided for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in this examination.

KMAT 2019 Syllabus

Verbal Ability And Reading Comprehension – This section consists of the questions from the grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, questions based on the content of the passage such as choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions as well as similar language skills.

In the reading comprehension, the questions are based on the contents given in the passage of comprehension.

Logical And Abstract Reasoning- This section consists of the questions from the verbal reasoning, analogy based questions. This section is basically to test your logical ability that how fast you can think to solve the particular problem.

Quantitative Ability-This section consists of the question based on arithmetic such as the numerical problems from the ratio & proportion, percentage, simple interest, time and work, speed and distance etc. Apart from the Arithmetic Section it also consists the problems based on Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and parts of mathematics.
