LUMET 2018 exam is conducted by the University of Lucknow in order to offer admission to various MBA programmes in the University. This year, the exam will take place on June 02, 2018. The application process is over now. Candidates who have successfully submitted the online application form will receive the Admit Card for LUMET 2018 on May 28, 2018. After the entrance exam, the qualified candidates will sit for the interview round. The final result will release in the form of combined merit list. LUMET 2018

Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET) is a University Level entrance exam. The university also accepts the score of CAT 2018 for admission. Such candidates can also opt to not appear for LUMET, however, it is advised to appear for the entrance exam as well, to get best of two scores and increase your chances for admission.

LUMET 2018 Exam Pattern

Candidates must look at the exam pattern before starting their preparation. Referring to the correct pattern and syllabus will help you to plan strategically for your exam.

  • Mode of the exam: It is a Pen-paper based test
  • Marking scheme: 3 marks for every correct answer
  • Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of -1 marks for every incorrect answer. There s no negative marking for unattempted questions.
  • Type of Questions:  Multiple Choice Questions with three options.
  • Number of sections: There are 4 sections in the exam consists of General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Numerical ability, Data interpretation, and English Verbal Ability.

How To Prepare For LUMET 2018?

The only mantra for success in the entrance exam is Hard Work. There are no shortcuts to qualify these tests. Since you now know the syllabus and exam pattern for the exam, read below the preparation tips to get an idea on how to start preparing for the exam.

  1. Start preparing for the exam early so that you do not have to miss out any important topic in the last minute. Also, by starting early preparation you can easily put a month away for revision only.
  2. Take online mock tests to analyze which are your stronger areas and on which topics you need to put more efforts in.
  3. Numerical Ability is more of the formulas. Note down the formulas of each of the important topic, so that whenever you get stuck you can take a look at them. However, do not make this a habit. The motive should be that the important formulas must be on your tip and you should not look into your notes for verifying the formula.
  4. If you need to improve in the Verbal Ability section, you should Read, Read, and Read. It can be an English newspaper, a novel or a blog. Reading really help to increase vocabulary. LUMET 2018 Admit Card

After the application process is over, you will receive the admit card for LUMET 2018. To obtain it you have to use login and enter details such as registration number and password.

On downloading the admit card you must ensure that all the details provided in it are correct. In case of any discrepancy, you must immediately contact the concerned authorities. The details provided in the admit card are the name of the candidate, roll number, photograph, signature, LUMET 2018 exam date, examination venue and much more. While appearing for the exam you must ensure that you are carrying hall ticket along with one photo identity proof. It will serve as your identity and in case you forget it, you may not be allowed to appear in the exam.

Admission Through CAT Score

In case a candidate has a valid CAT score, he/ she may choose not to appear for LUMET 2018 exam. A merit will release on the basis of marks in CAT exam. On the basis of merit, you have to appear for personal interview which will conduct from 03-07Jun, 2018. Such candidates can also choose to appear for the exam and in such a case your CAT score will not be considered.

LUMET 2018 Result

Once the entrance test is over, the candidates will be facilitated with the result. To check the qualifying status and know the eligibility to appear for the interview the candidates can obtain LUMET 2018 result from the official website. Download the result via login and check the marks scored in the paper.

After the declaration of result and list of candidates who have scored minimum cutoff marks will release. Interview round will take place after this. The applicant performance will be evaluated on the basis of marks in the exam, communication skills, and much more. A final combined merit list will release thereafter, stating the name of all the candidates who have qualified to take admission in MBA programme.

LUMET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the exam. Only those candidates can appear for LUMET 2018 who fulfill its eligibility criteria as given below: 

  • You must have completed your graduation with at least 10+2+3 years of study pattern from a recognized University/ institution
  • Minimum marks required to be eligible for admission to MBA courses is 50%. Whereas if you belong to SC/ST category marks required are 45%.
  • Candidates appearing the final year of graduation can also apply for the entrance test.

LUMET 2018 Application Form

The application process for LUMET 2018 is over. The candidates had to first register and then only they could proceed to fill up details in the application form. For registration the details required were, candidate’s name, parent’s name, email id, contact number, etc. In the application form, the aspirants had to provide personal details, address, category, educational qualification, CAT details (if applicable). Also, they had to upload the scanned images of your photo and signature.
