MICAT 2020 – Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA), conducts MICA Admission Test (MICAT) twice a year – MICAT I and MICAT II. The result for MICAT I is released online at mica.ac.in. It is a university-level test conducted at All India level for admission on PGDM and PGDM-C programme. Courses Offered by MICA
MICA offers multiple management courses. These are PGDM- Communications, Fellowship Programme in Management – Communications, Crafting Creative Communication, and online courses. MICA’s PGP offering hasthe following two Programe:
Students have the choice to opt for the PGDM-C and/or PGDM programe. Candidates who choose to opt for both the Programme will have to mark the programe of their first preference as priority 1 and the second programme of second preference as priority 2.
MICAT 2020 Application Form
The application form for MICAT 2020 releases on the official website i.e mica.ac.in. Candidates can apply for MICAT 1 or MICAT 2 or both. In order to fill the form, applicants have to complete the four-step simple process.
- In the first step, complete the registration process after entering the valid email id and phone number. After the successful submission, check the login details from the registered email id.
- Next, fill the form by entering personal, contact, address, qualification, CAT/XAT/GMAT score details. At this point in time, you have to enter the registration number only. The scores need to be uploaded later.
- Now, upload the photograph and signature in the proper format.
- In the last step, pay the application fee of Rs 1985/- to submit your application form. You can pay the exam fee via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
MICAT 2020 Exam Pattern
MICAT 2020 is a computer-based examination of 2 hours and 50 minutes. There are overall six sections in the exam in which a total number of questions are not pre-determined.
Negative Marking – In the exam, there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The descriptive and psychometric tests are compulsory with no negative marking.
Number of Questions – The total questions in each section changes every year. So, as per the last year exam, the number of questions in each section are as follows.

For this section, it is important you are updated with the latest national and international news. Also, read static GK from a good book. A major number of questions in this section appear from business awareness. For example logos, acquisition, logos CEO’s, mergers, etc.

MICAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in MICAT 2020 must check the eligibility criteria. The following specifications are for admission to PGDM-C course.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years.

MICAT 2020 Admit Card
Once the application process is over, the MICA releases the MICAT 2020 Admit Card on the official website. Candidates can download it using User Id and password. MICAT 2020 Result
MICA declares the MICAT 2020 Result separately for each session. It releases on the official website and can be downloaded using user id and password. In case, candidates have appeared for both the session, then MICA will consider only the best of two. Approximately only 10% of the total appeared candidates get the GEPI call.
Selected candidates have to appear for Group Exercise and Personal Interview. On the basis of these rounds, MICA issues the merit list having the names of candidates who are eligible for admission to the new academic year.
MICAT 2020 Selection Process
MICA follows the three-step process to shortlist students for admission to PGDM-C programme.
- First, you must have uploaded the CAT/XAT/GMAT scores before the last date.
- Second, You have taken the MICAT 2020 Exam.
- Third, in the GEPI Round, candidates must perform in the final round to secure their admission.
MICA GEPI Shortlist Preparation
In order to get a GEPI call, candidates have to pass these qualifiers.
- Psychometric Test – It is the first qualifier.
- Other Exams scores – Then, candidates must have cleared the cut-off for CAT/XAT/GMAT.
- If candidates clear the cut-off, the performance in the MICAT Section-B is considered.
- Those who qualify the above step, then MICA evaluates the relative performance in the descriptive section.
