Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2019) is a state level online test conducted by Anna University for the admission to PG courses in the colleges of Tamil Nadu. TANCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for TANCET 2019 candidates must fulfill basic eligibility criteria as set by Anna University. Candidates can read complete details of MBA eligibility given below
- Applicant must have Bachelor’s Degree of at least 3 years with minimum 50% marks. However, relaxation of 5% is given to candidates applying under reserved category.
- Candidate must have a study pattern of 10+2+3 years or even 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years study pattern or
- Applicant must have obtained B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B. Pharm or
- If a candidate who has a study pattern of 10+2+ AMIE or 1-+3 years diploma + AMIE is also eligible for TANCET 2019
Category of Candidates
Applicants are divided into 3 categories as per the rules of University. Below are the details of each category:
TANCET Category: If candidates want to be considered under this category, they must appear for TANCET 2019.
Sponsored Category: University has provided a limited number of seats for the applicants who are employed and sponsored by Government aided educational institutions, Government organizations and registered professional architects who have a minimum of 5 years of experience. All such candidates are required to appear for TANCET 2019 in order to be considered for the sponsored category.

TANCET 2019 Exam Pattern
Below you can find course wise examination pattern and the marking scheme. For every question, 4 alternatives are given and the candidate must mark the correct answer.
An applicant who wishes to get admission to MBA or MCA programmes in participating institutions has to appear for the exam which will be of 100 marks with time duration of 2 hours. The paper will be of MCQ type with 100 questions having 4 alternatives. Out of the given options, one will be correct. For every wrong answer, ⅓ marks will be deducted. Therefore applicant must attempt the questions carefully.

TANCET 2019 Application Form
Candidates who wish to get admitted to Tamil Nadu colleges or institutions should fill up the TANCET Application Form 2019 through online mode only. They must read all the details related to TANCET 2019 before applying. Moreover, the application process for the programmes is same. While filling the application form, care should be taken to provide correct details and also upload a recent photograph of good quality. After filling the application form and finally submitting the information, the candidate will be asked to pay an application fee.The payment could be made only through online mode. TANCET 2019 Hall Ticket / Admit Card
After the application process is over, TANCET Hall Tickets 2019 will be issued to the candidates who have filled form successfully before or on last day. It is expected that hall ticket for TANCET 2019 will be made available in the 2nd week of March 2019 on Anna University website. Applicants must keep their TANCET 2019 Admit Card secure as it will be required at the time of examination and also during admission. In case hall ticket is lost, a duplicate hall ticket can be obtained by paying a small amount along with a written request with registration number or application number and the examination centre name.
TANCET 2019 Result
The result of TANCET 2019 will be announced on the website. Candidates who have appeared for the exam will be able to Check the Result and mark sheet which will be made available within 10 days of the announcement of result. Applicant must take a print out of mark sheet as it will be required at the time of admission.
In case, mark sheet of a candidate is lost, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained by paying a small amount along with written request stating registration number/application number and examination centre name.

Candidates seeking admission for the course of MBA / M.Tech/ M.E/ M.Plan/ M.Arch in Tamil Nadu must apply for TANCA 2019 Counselling. It is the counselling process which is also conducted by the Anna University. Applicants who satisfy the basic eligibility criteria for this counselling process will be considered for admission in engineering colleges or institutes of the state. At the end of this admission process, a merit list is released stating the ranks of candidates who are eligible for admission.
