Tata Institute of Social Science National Entrance Test (TISSNET 2019) will be conducted by Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS). TISSNET is a national level test and is conducted generally in the month of January. The TISSNET 2019 will be held for the candidates who are interested in Masters of Arts (M.A.). The campuses of TISS are situated in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Guwahati and Tuljapur.

TISSNET 2019 Registration will be start in the month of October 2018. The candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying. After filling up the application form, the admit cards will be issued. TISSNET 2019 will be a computer based online test, in which questions will be asked from General Awareness, English Language, and Mathematics & Logical Reasoning. TISS offers Master’s Degree programmes in the campuses situated in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Guwahati and Tuljapur. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of written examination, followed by Pre-Interview Test / GD and Personal Interview. TISSNET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates can check the eligibility criteria for TISSNET 2019 form the points given below.

  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (for minimum of 3 years program) or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Those who are studying in 3rd year should have passed in all the semesters (1st to 4th).
  • Candidates who have pursed 4 years degree programme, should have passed in all the subjects from semester 1st to 6th.
  • Only those candidates will be able to apply for the admission who will complete all the requirements of final year bachelor’s degree programme by 1st week of June 2019.

Note: Candidates in final year of degree program can also apply.

  • Online Payment by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.

How to Apply: The candidates who wish to apply for TISSNET 2019 can follow the instructions given below.

  • The candidates will first of all have to visit the official website and click on the appropriate link for application form.
  • Next, the candidates will have to login and enter details such as E-mail Id, From where did you get to know about TISSNET, Which device did you use to search, and Have you applied for TISSNET before.
  • After registration, the candidates will get a confirmation e-mail and in it the password will be given.
  • With the help of e-mail id and password, the candidates will be able to login and  enter personal, educational, and communication details.
  • Once all the details have been submitted, the candidates need to upload photograph, signature, and required documents in the application form.
  • Lastly, the candidates need to pay the application fee.

TISSNET 2019 Exam Pattern

TISSNET is a computer based exam. The questions in the exam are of  multiple choice type. The candidates are advised to attempt all questions because there will be no negative marking in the exam.

TISSNET 2019 Admit Card

The TISSNET Admit Card 2019 will be issued online. The candidates will be able to download it from the official website. To download the admit card, the candidates will have to login on the website by entering registered email id and password. The admit cards will be issued in the month of December 2018. The admit card will contain the name of the candidate, date of birth, exam centre, photograph etc. The candidates who will not carry the admit card at the time of examination will not be able to appear for the exam.

TISSNET 2019 Result and Merit List

The result of TISSNET 2019 will be announced in two parts, score and merit list.

TISSNET Scorecard – The score card will be released for the written exam. The candidates will get the score according to their performance in the written test. The candidates will have to go to the official website and click on the link of score card. The candidates will be able to check the score card by entering the email id and password. After the release of score card, the selected candiadtes will appear for the PIT/GD and PI round.

Merit List – The merit list will be released after all the rounds. The merit list will be prepared according to the performance in all round,  and the weightage of each round will be as follows:

  • NET – 40%
  • PIT – 30%
  • PI – 30%.

Hence, the candidates need to secure minimum of:

TISS Admission Process

First the candidates will have to apply for TISSNET and then they will have to appear for written test. After the written test, the shortlisted candidates will have to download the score card from the official website. Then the candidates will have to go through the PIT / GD and Personal Interview round. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in written test, PIT/GD and PI. Then the merit list of the selected candidates will be released. After the first merit list, the candidates who will wait for the admission will get the waiting list. Then the merit list will be released of the waiting candidates. After the above process, the candidates will be able to get admission.
